Four women to represent India at Future Leaders Connect network at UK Parliament

Future Leaders Connect is a programme for young leaders from around the world who the British Council anticipates will play a significant role in politics in the years to come.

Four women to represent India at Future Leaders Connect network at UK Parliament

Four young women have been selected to represent India at the Future Leaders Connect Programme in University of Cambridge and London by the British Council, a global leadership network for emerging policy leaders.

The four are named as Hasiba Amin (National Convenor, Indian National Congress Social Media dept & former NSUI State President); Kajri Babbar (Filmmaker and Social Activist); Shambhavi Singh (Women Health Specialist) and Shreya Juneja (former Swach Bharat Project Analyst & currently assistant manager at IndiGo)

They will be joining 50 people from eleven other countries at the Future Leaders Connect at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, in October, with the cost covered by the British Council.

These young women have been chosen after a rigorous process that involved submission of a detailed global policy proposal that they envision for their country and presentation of their policy by the top 10 at a massive event in front of a jury.

Future Leaders Connect is a programme for young leaders(18-35) from around the world who the British Council anticipates will play a significant role in politics in the years to come. They must have shown exceptional talent in leadership, involvement in Politics and Policy-making.

There are eleven other countries taking part in the British Council’s Future Leaders Connect: Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, Tunisia, the USA and UK.
