Freshworks Inc, the leading provider of cloud-based customer engagement software has implemented ‘Freshworks recruitment for her’.
The company has hired 32% of the women workforce. Taking it to Twitter, the official handle of Freshworks announced the news.
In multiple threads, the company revealed that revealed its pledge taken a year ago. “One year ago, we made a pledge that a third of our employees will be women by International Women’s Day 2021. Today, we’re proud to announce that women constitute 32% of our workforce”, the company tweeted.
“Last year, we realized two things: a) We didn’t have enough voices of women in every function, at every level. b) Unless we are deliberate in driving gender diversity, we would never get close to achieving parity And so, we took the #PledgeForEquality”, Freshworks said in a Tweet thread.

Explaining the hiring process, the company said that it took a hard look at some of their job descriptions to ensure they were written with no bias. With the balance being extremely skewed in some roles, it looked exclusively for women candidates to fill them.
The company reached out to over 400 such women last year to understand what it would take to bring them back, and it has been working on launching its return-to-work program.
