Gangster Anil Dujana killed in encounter with UP STF in Meerut

Anil Dujana, a feared mobster, was killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) near Meerut.

Anil Dujana, a known criminal from western Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police in 2021. Dujana had 62 complaints filed against him, including 18 murders, extortion, looting, land grabbing, and other offences.

Bulandshahr police had issued a reward of Rs 25,000 for Anil Dujana, and the Noida Police had a reward of Rs 50,000 on him. He had been imprisoned since 2012, but was released on bail in 2021. Later, a court issues a non-bailable warrant against him for failing to appear in previous cases.

From behind bars, he ran his mafia empire.

Anil Dujana began managing his criminal empire from prison after being arrested in a triple murder case in 2012. He was assisted by other crooks Randeep Bhati and Amit Kasana. While imprisoned, Dujana planned and directed his aides to carry out murders, extortion, and other criminal activities.

Enmity between the Dujana and Bhati gangs

The Sundar Bhati gang has a long-standing feud with the Dujana family. Dujana and his gang used an AK-47 rifle to attack Sundar Bhati and his close colleagues in 2012. The two competing gangs frequently clashed over government contracts, steel bar theft, and toll plaza contracts. The cops used to carry Dunana to court in a bulletproof jacket due to threats from the Bhati gang.
