Gangster Deepak Siddhu shot dead in encounter in UP’s Meerut

After the notorious gangster Vikas Dubey was shot dead in an encounter in Kanpur, another information is doing rounds as the UP’s Meerut based gangster Deepak Siddhu was shot dead in an encounter on Wednesday night.

Deepak Siddhu was carrying reward of Rs 50,000 and was shot dead in the police encounter in Meerut’s Rohta.

Deepak was with his ally who managed to escape from the location and the police has been looking for him since then.

According to reports, the police got the tip of the location of gangster Deepak and thus they surrounded him. Meanwhile, the miscreants started firing at the police after seeing themselves surrounded.

In the meantime, Deepak was shot while his companion escaped from the spot.

Inspector Anuj Kumar was also shot during the encounter. The injured Deepak was brought to CHC from where he was referred to Meerut District Hospital in view of his serious condition. He was pronounced dead by doctors as soon as he arrived at the hospital.

Deepak Sidhu was the sharp shooter of Yogesh gang. Deepak was booked for more than one and a half dozen cases of robbery, murder and robbery. He had murdered Ankur, a Resident of Aman Colony in Maharana Pratap Nagar, Sardhana, in a chronic enmity in June.

SSP Ajay Sahni said that several cases were registered against Deepak in Sardhana police station.
