Swaroop Raj, a former assistant vice president of Genpact India, who was accused of sexual harassment at workplace, committed suicide at his residence in a highrise apartment in Sector 137 of Noida on Tuesday December 18.

The body of the 35-year-old was found hanging from the ceiling at around 11:30 pm along with a suicide note in which he said that he is not guilty. In the suicide letter, he also wrote that the cases of molestation against him are baseless but he does not have the courage to face them.

He was suspended from his job over sexual harassment allegations by two of his colleagues.

Munish Chauhan, station house officer (SHO), Surajpur police station told that in his suspension letter, the firm had said that Raj would be barred from participating in any official work until the investigation in the harassment case was completed.

No complaint has been filed by the family so far.
