In 1994 the organization, ‘The Christian Embassy of Christ’s Ambassadors’ hung a single banner proclaiming National Forgiveness Day in downtown Victoria, British Columbia. As the annual celebration progressed, overwhelming media attention required that National Forgiveness Day be renamed Global Forgiveness Day. This was done to spread the message across the globe.
