Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) postponed to mid-June, registrations will commence in May

Earlier, Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) was scheduled for May 4 and 5, 2021. The authorities were expected to release the GCET application form 2021 anytime soon.

The Directorate of Technical Education, Centralized Admission Division under the Government of Goa has announced a postponement for Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET).

The schedule will be revised by the authorities in a while. The Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) has been postponed till mid of June.

Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) application form as pr sources will release in May 2021, and the process will be announced similarly.

The authorities will most likely declare exact procedure and GCET 2021 registration date by May 1. And that the official notification for Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) will be notified by June 1.

However, the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) official brochure indicates the various courses, seats offered, GCET 2021 eligibility criteria, merit rules and admissions procedure, etc. will be notified by March 2021.

What is GCET?

For the unaware, Goa Common Entrance Test (Goa CET or GCET) examination is a state-level entrance exam held by DTE Goa for admissions to professional degree courses in Engineering across various colleges in Goa. Goa CET 2021 is a state level entrance exam and admission to these courses is governed by DTE Goa.

GCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for GCET or Goa CET here are some eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates should be an Indian National.
  • Candidates must have appeared and obtained a valid score in GCET conducted for the year of admission. GCET score of the previous year/s is not considered valid.
  • For Architecture, the candidate must have appeared and obtained a valid score at NATA conducted by Council of Architecture.
  • Candidates should have cleared the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board.
