After the yellow metal price increased yesterday, once again the price for gold has fallen with a decline of Rs 12 in the price of one gram in 22 carat gold. According to the prices collected from sites, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold after slipping today by Rs 120 is 48,460. Whereas, the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 49,460 for 10 grams of gold after a decrease of Rs 120 in the gold price.
On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival of India, the gold rates have fallen but the silver prices have substantially increased. So let’s check the state wise gold price. The price varies from city to city on the basis of excise duty, taxes, and other conditions.
In the national captial Delhi, the price of gold remains stable on makar sankranti, Ten grams of 22-carat gold can be purchased at Rs 48,350 in the city, whereas the same quantity of the higher quality gold will be available for Rs 52,750. Similarly, gold prices in Chennai have slipped, the rate of 22-carat gold is lesser in Chennai as compared to other major cities.
With a drop of Rs 180, 10 grams of 22-carat gold can be bought for 46,620 and 24-carat gold in Chennai today has dropped by Rs 150 and it is available for Rs 50,900 for ten grams.
In Kolkata, The price of gold is higher than yesterday, however, not that significant. The price of 10 grams 22-carat gold in the city of Kolkata is Rs 48,990 with an increase of Rs 10 today, while 24-carat gold is available for Rs 51,690
