The Gold prices jumped by Rs 455 to Rs 41,610 per 10 grams on Monday, amid the improvement in the price of gold in the global markets and the fall in the exchange rate of the rupee. According to HDFC Securities, gold had closed at Rs 41,155 per 10 grams in previous trade. However, silver fell by Rs 1,283 to Rs 40,304 per kg, compared to Rs 41,587 in the previous trading session.
HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “The price of 24-carat gold in Delhi rose by Rs 455. The yellow metal strengthened in the domestic market with the fall in the rupee exchange rate and the improvement in the gold price globally.
Price abroad
During the business, the rupee was moving down by about 36 paise against the US dollar. Gold gained $ 1,539 an ounce in the global market, while silver held steady at $ 15.65 an ounce.
