In a brazen case of hooliganism in a college, a 19-year-old student hurled profanities at a woman lecturer and thrashed the principal in Sikka town near Jamnagar.

The incident happened in the arts and commerce college run by Jamnagar Digvijay Gram Panchayat on Wednesday when the second-year BCom student Yogesh Sindhav barged into the class the middle of the lecture without permission.

He was stopped by teacher Dr Hetal Bhatt who asked him to wait until the class got over.

Sindhav meanwhile in fits of rage started hurling abuses at her in front of all other students. He then threatened Bhatt and asked her to get out of the classroom. Bhatt immediately went to principal Mahavirsinh Jadeja who rushed to the classroom and talked to Sindhav.

But an unapologetic Sindhav started abusing Jadeja too and thrashed him. Jadeja suffered minor injuries after he fell on the ground when Sindhav pushed him.

Sindhav is a habitual offender and often gets into arguments said, Professor Bhatt.

He gets into fights easily and does not have patience listening to others.

RK Gadhvi, investigating officer, Sikka police station said, the college cctv has compiled enough evidence How Sindhav was seen brutally assaulting the principal and hurling abuses.”
