Alarmed at Surat’s condition, Rupani and Patel have decided to fly to the city on Saturday, where they will assess the situation, and visit hospitals. Thereafter, Rupani will chair a meeting with top officials and Surat district authorities to take stock of the steps being taken, and facilities in the city. Chief Secretary Anil Mukim and CM’s Chief Principal Secretary K. Kailashnathan will also be present at the meeting.
