Breakups can be hard and sometimes it makes people go to any length to take revenge from the significant other. An incident was reported where a man who was unable to move on from his break up sent obscene photos to a woman he dated in college.
The cyber crime cell in Ahmedabad arrested the accused that had allegedly created several IDs on social media to send the pictures.
The accused identified as Abhishek Sharma (23) is a cinematographer with a private firm. He allegedly sent obscene pictures to his ex-girlfriend and her friends.
As per reports, the accused allegedly created social media profiles and sent explicit content to the girl. He also made an Instagram profile and shared explicit content to the victim’s friend on learning that she had been seeing other men.
With the help of IP logs, the cyber crime officials tracked the accused and found out the IDs that he had used to send the alleged messages. The police alleged that the accused used revenge porn to get back on the victim.
Earlier a similar incident was reported where youth from Tamil Nadu decided to take revenge of his break-up by posting obscene pictures of his girlfriend on social media. The victim approached the police stating that the accused had posted her nude pictures on social media. He was booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the IT Act.
