If ‘aged like fine wine’ was the person then it would be Gul Panag who turns 42 on 3rd January. Gul Panag is one of those few Bollywood Divas who has aced the art of being multi-tasking. From being a fantastic actor or to raise her voice for a social cause, the girl from Punjab has done it all.  

Panag was born on January 3rd, 1979 in Chandigarh, Punjab. She has worked on some great movies and recently web shows in Industry including Dor, Dhoop, Manorama Six Feet Under, Hello, Straight, and Ab Tak Chhappan 2. Her latest Web show, Paatal Lok which came in 2020 was very critically acclaimed and was equally loved by the audience.

  • Gul Panag is the actors’ stage name. The real name of Gul is Gulkirat Kaur Panag. 
  • As a student, Panag was always a bright child and was interested in public speaking. She won numerous state and national level debate competitions, including two gold medals at the Annual National Inter-University Debate competition.
  • Panag won the Miss India title in 1999 and was crowned Miss Beautiful Smile at the same pageant. She then participated in the Miss Universe 1999 pageant.

  • Gul Panag was the Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Chandigarh for the 2014 Indian general election. She came in the third position with 1,08,679 votes, while Kirron Kher won the election with 1,91,362 votes.
  • Gul Panag is a serial half-marathon runner, an avid biker who is also a certified pilot and was trained on a professional platform- Formula E. She debuted on the racing track at Mahindra Racing’s all-new M4Electro at the Circuit de Calafat in Catalonia, Spain.

  • Panag married her long-time boyfriend, an airline pilot, Rishi Attari on 13 March 2011 in a Gurdwara in Chandigarh in a traditional Punjabi Sikh ceremony. The couple has a son named Nihal who was born in 2018.
