Bollywood’s Singham, Ajay Devgn will celebrate his 52nd birthday on April 2. The actor, who is married to Kajol, has gifted more than 100 blockbuster hits to the film industry.

Ajay made his debut in Bollywood with ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ in the year 1991 opposite Madhoo. It was his split stun on two motorbikes that immediately gave him the tag of the villain of tinsel town movies.

The man with an intense persona has always preferred to be himself in the industry full of glitz and glamour.

Ajay Devgn has done a great body of work in the Bollywood industry. Devgn is originally from Amritsar. He graduated from the Silver Beach High School in Juhu and then studied at Mithibai College. His entire family has connections to the Hindi film industry in Mumbai, India.

His father,Veeru Devgan was a stunt choreographer and action-film director, his mother Veena is a film producer and his brother Anil Devgan is a filmmaker and screenwriter. Fans have watched Ajay Devgn on screen over the years and have been mesmerized by each performance.

Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha:

An unofficial remake of the hit Hollywood film, French Kiss, this Anees Bazmee-directorial starred real life couple Ajay and Kajol. The movie revolved around how a brooding romantic, Ajay, changes overnight after he helps a stranger girl from Paris, Kajol, in taking revenge from her cheating fiance.

Singham:

Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham’ was a huge box office hit. Ajay Devgn’s performance as an honest police officer was a widely applauded. It was the remake of 2010 Tamil film ‘Singham’. Its sequel, ‘Singham Returns’ also did great at the Box Office. Ajay Devgn’s action in the movie reminded us of his intense performances during the early days of his career.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh:

This is a 2002 biographical period film about Bhagat Singh, a socialist revolutionary who fought for Indian independence. Ajay Devgn plays Bhagat Singh in this movie, he won the award for Best Actor at the National Film Awards.

Omkara:

Omkara is an Indian crime drama film adapted from William Shakespeare’s ‘Othello.’ Ajay Devgn plays the lead role – Omkara. It is a tragic tale of how love blinds you from rationality.

Tanhaji-The Unsung Warrior:

The Om Raut-directorial became the highest-grossing film of Ajay’s career. After crossing Rs 50 crore within its first weekend, the film reached the benchmark of Rs 100 crore on its sixth day at the ticket window. The war drama featured Ajay Devgn in the titular role. The film was based on the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670. Kajol essayed the role of the wife of Tanhaji, Savitribai Malusare and was shown as a strong character who accompanies him in taking firm decisions. Saif Ali Khan played the antagonist and came out strong as Uday Bhan, a Rajput official, who works for Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.
