Bollywood’s noted singer of the 90s, Udit Narayan, who lent his voice to top film stars like Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan to name a few, will celebrate his 65th birthday on December 1.

Udit Narayan is one of the most popular and revered playback singers in India. He has been honoured with three National Film Awards and several Filmfare Awards for his music. In 2001, he was awarded the Prabal Gorkha Dakshin Bahu by the late King of Nepal Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. Udit Narayan was also honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2009. Udit Narayan was given two prestigious awards in 2004, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. ‘Taal Se Taal Mila’ song from the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan movie Taal was voted as best song of the century. It was composed by A R Rahman.

Main Yahan Hoon (Veer Zara)

The song is from the epic musical love saga ‘Veer Zaara’. This ever so romantic song becomes even more infectious with Udit’s mesmerizing vocals as they suited SRK’s on-screen persona.

Aye Mere Humsafar (Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak)

The song from Mansoor Khan directed 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak is picturised on Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla. The song is sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. The lyrics were penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri and the song was composed by Anand-Milind.

Aye Ajnabi (Dil Se)

Aye Ajnabi is one of the toughest songs to sing where Udit showed his wide range & versatility and hence made singing look easier and simpler.

Pehla Nasha, Pehla Khumar (Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar)

The song from 1992 hit film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar has become favourite for youngsters when it was released. The song is sung by Udit Narayan and Sadhana Sargam and is picturised on Aamir Khan and Ayesha Jhulkha. The song talks about the experience of falling in love for the time.
