Happy Dev Deepawali 2021: The festival of Dev Deepawali coincides with Kartik Purnima every year. The festivities begin on the Ekadashi Tithi of Kartik Shukla Paksha and end on the fifth day, i.e. Kartik Poornima Tithi (full moon night). It is known as Dev Deepawali.
This time Dev Diwali will be celebrated on 18th November 2021 on Thursday. Mainly Dev Diwali is celebrated in Kashi on the banks of the river Ganges. A different gaiety is seen in the city of Kashi on this day. Everywhere decorations are done and earthen lamps are lit everywhere on the Ganges Ghat.
On this day Ganga Ghusl, Puja, Mann, and Chirag are performed in Dharmanagar Kashi. The entire Kashi is decorated with lamps and the ghats are lit with lamps. It is believed that if you or any family member is ill for a long time, then on Diwali, burn the idol of Sun God or install a Surya Yantra and light a lamp in front of it. Doing this will help you get rid of this disease quickly.
Fasting on this day is very important. By fasting on this day, one gets the remembrance of God, meditation, results like Agnistom Yagya and one attains the Siriya world. Fasting and waking up on every full moon night starting from Kartiki Purnima fulfills all the wishes.
