Happy Hindi Diwas 2023: World Hindi Day, also known as Vishwa Hindi Divas, is observed annually on January 10 to commemorate the inaugural World Hindi Conference, which took place in 1975. It is observed globally to encourage the use of the Hindi language.
On January 10, 1975, the inaugural World Hindi Conference was held in Nagpur.
In a meeting of the World Hindi Conference’s follow-up committee held on June 8, 2005, it was resolved to celebrate World Hindi Day annually on January 10.
Accordingly, the first World Hindi Day was observed on January 10, 2006.
