Haryana: Government cancels Class 10 Pre Board Exams as Question paper leaked in Rohtak

The Haryana Government has canceled the Class 10 Pre-Board exams in schools across the state as reports of the paper leak have surfaced from a school in Rohtak on Tuesday. The officials of the education department, however, still maintain that the Haryana Class 10 and 12 Board exams 2020 will be conducted as per schedule.

The Harayana Education Department conducts pre-board exams every year to analyse the preparation of the students prior to the Board exam.

According to a report, questions papers of two subjects have been leaked from the Senior Secondary School at the Atal Village of Rohtak on Tuesday. As per the account of the school’s principal, Surendra Lakra, an FIR has been lodged with the local police against unknown people.

Media reports state that the Principal received a call in the morning from one of his staffers who discovered that the question papers were lying scattered in the room where they had been kept.

The Principal also went on to add that the question papers of the Haryana Board Class 10 and 12 2020 pre-board exams were kept safe from where they were stolen by people yet to be identified.

The HBSE 10th and 12 pre-Board exam 2020 were scheduled to start from 28th January 2020.

Parmeshwari Hooda, Rohtak’s district education officer said that the examination scheduled on Wednesday was cancelled and the report of the paper-leak was sent to the education department for further investigation.

Hooda added that the paper leak has caused a huge revenue loss and inconvenience to the teachers and students alike. Sources say that the rest of the exams will be conducted as per the schedule.
