After the Jagga Jasoos debacle, Anurag Basu’s next film, yet untitled has gone on floors. Abhishek Bachchan has started shooting for the film in Kolkata. Many entertainment portals have reported that the film is a sequel of the 2007 hit film, Life in a Metro. Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Aditya Roy Kapur are rumoured to have signed on the dotted lines. A portal reported that Parineeti Chopra, who was approached for the film decided to walk out due to date issues. The report stated that Parineeti was impressed with the script and was keen to do the film, but because of the unavailability of dates, she had to walk out.

Anurag Basu took to his Twitter account to clarify that Parineeti Chopra had never signed his film. He tweeted, “Opt-out!!!?? Hehehe this is so funny When was she In!? @ParineetiChopra”. Parineeti Chopra reacted to Anurag Basu’s tweet and shared with her fans that she will announce her next movies herself. She posted, “Guys please don’t speculate on anything!! I will announce which film I am doing next myself. It is extremely disrespectful and bad PR for the makers of that film. I have not opted out of anything.”

Parineeti has wrapped up the shoot of her next, Jabariya Jodi in which she stars alongside Sidharth Malhotra. Her last release, Namaste England has tanked badly at the box office. However, Sid and Parineeti’s chemistry struck a chord with the audiences in the sleeper hit Hasee Toh Phasee.
