Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia have shared a dramatic history and it is known to the world. The two celebrities, who co-owned the Indian Premiere League (IPL) team Kings XI Punjab once upon a time, were dating and things went sour when their relationship did not work out. Fast forward to present and we are happy Preity is in a happy place, married to American Gene Goodenough. However, a recent report tried to suggest that there was still bad blood between Ness and Preity. Sources claim that Preity wasn’t allowed to board a GoAir flight. Reports claimed that given the actress’s history with Wadia, GoAir has banned her.
However, the airline issued a statement to clarify that there is no such truth in these claims making the rounds on the internet. “GoAir strongly and completely denies any such action. Contrary to the reportage, all the facts-on-ground clearly show that Ms Preity Zinta had a smooth flight Mumbai to Chandigarh GoAir G8-381 on Saturday March 30, 2019. Further, on April 2, 2019 she also booked herself on a return flight G8 382 from Chandigarh to Mumbai but did not show up. This clearly demonstrates that sections of media have reported mischievously and without verifying the facts with GoAir.”
The statement added, “Sections of the media have reported malicious and factually incorrect story that is false, fabricated and without any basis stating that ‘Preity Zinta was stopped from boarding GoAir flight.'”
Preity and Ness have had a rocky relationship. The duo first made the headlines for their relationship in 2005, and their relationship was however not approved by his mother and socialite, Maureen Wadia. The couple went on to co-own the IPL team in 2008 and were spotted at matched together. However, a year later, their relationship hit the rocks when reports about Ness slapping Preity made the news. They continued to own the team even after. However, none of them addressed the break up until 2013, when the actress spoke in length about her breakup with Ness. The actress had said she was still friends with Ness. But she shocked everyone in 2014 when she filed a complaint against Ness accusing him of molestation, threats and abuse. The actress tied the knot with Gene in 2016.
