New Delhi, Jan 2 (IANS) Two-wheeler major Hero MotoCorp on Thursday reported a 6.41 per cent decline in sales, including exports, for December 2019.
According to the company, sales in December declined to 424,845 units from 453,985 units sold during the year-ago month.
“In the first three quarters of FY20, the company sold 50,75,208 motorcycles and scooters,” it said.
“Hero MotoCorp is rapidly migrating to the BS-VI regime and has launched two exciting motorcycles — Splendor iSmart BS-VI and HF Deluxe BS-VI — in quick succession,” the company said.
Hero MotoCorp’s domestic sales fell to 4,12,009 units, down over 5 per cent, from 436,591 units sold in last December.
The two-wheeler manufacturer’s exports declined by 26.20 per cent to 12,836 units from 17,394 units shipped out during the like month of 2018.
Besides, the company sold a total of 4,03,625 motorcycles from 4,17,612 units sold during the corresponding period of 2018.
In addition, the two-wheeler major’s scooter off-take declined to 21,220 units during December 2019 from 36,373 units sold during the year-ago period.
