Hindu, Muslims unite against riots in Delhi’s Yamuna Vihar

The residents are vocal about unity and are saying that only unity can defeat the divisive elements and they have come together to unite and they will fight the battle all united.

New Delhi: As the communal clashes took over the Northeast Delhi on Tuesday over the Anti Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protest which took a violent turn. The Hindu- Muslim resident of Yamuna Vihar chose the unity over hate as to defeat the forces who sought to divide them.

The residents of Yamuna Vihar said that they’ve never seen such communal riot in the past 34 years.

“Hindus and Muslims have been living peacefully in the area for a long time. Such madness is new to the area. This is the reason why we have decided to defeat the communal forces together said Mohammad Sajid, a local resident of Yamuna Vihar.

The residents said that they drew away all the outsiders who came to the market area of Yamuna Vihar to create disturbances in the area.

The local residents are taking turns to guard the area against the outsiders. Residents are armed with lathis and sticks as they are guarding the region against outsiders and they are trying hard to prevent the communal riot said Rahul, resident of Yamuna Vihar.

The residents are vocal about unity and are saying that only unity can defeat the divisive elements and they have come together to unite and they will fight the battle all united.
