The Holi 2020 season has begun and several were eagerly waiting for the Holi festival for long. As of now, Holi season has started, Holika Dahan will be celebrated on March 9 while colour celebrations will be on March 10. Popularly called Brij Holi, and it involves week-long celebrations which start on March 3. The first day is celebrated as Laddoo Holi followed by Lathmar Holi.

Laddoo Holi 2020 was celebrated in Barsana and Mathura. Therefore, March 4 will be the celebration of Lathmar Holi 2020 in Barsana and Nandgaon.

On the day of the festival, there are a lot of traditional prayers and rituals that are followed in Lord Krishna temples in these cities. People living in the local areas recreate the scenes from Lord Krishna’s childhood and perform in the Holi function or celebration.
