Utrecht: Police, including the anti-terror unit, have been deployed to the scene after the shooting incident that took place Utrecht. It remains unconfirmed about how many people have been injured in the shooting. While, the Dutch ANP news agency reported that at least one person was killed.
Three rescue helicopters have been sent to the scene — which has since been cordoned off — to “monitor” the situation, according to Joost Lanshage spokesman for the police in central Holland who was quoted as saying by CNN.

Local resident Jimmy De Koster saw the incident and told De Telegraaf: ‘I was standing at the traffic lights on 24 Oktoberplein and I saw a woman lying down, I think she would have been between 20 and 35 years old. ‘She shouted “I didn’t do anything”.’

The incident comes after at least 49 people were killed when gunmen said opened indiscriminate fire at two mosques in Christchurch city on Friday in what a shocked New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said was a terror attack. Calling the shootings “abhorrent”, Christchurch Police Commissioner Mike Bush had said 41 people were killed at the Al Noor Mosque near Hagley Park and seven at the Linwood Avenue Mosque. One person died in hospital, The New Zealand Herald reported.
Utrecht is a city in the centre of the Netherlands which is a mare 45 minutes drive south of Amsterdam.
