Hollywood celebrities including Chris Rock, Sarah Silverman, and Amy Schumer went nude to warn voters this year about “naked” ballots. They stripped down for a revealing new public service announcement (PSA) aimed at raising awareness of naked ballots.
Other famous faces like Chelsea Handler, Josh Gadd, Mark Ruffalo, Kerry Washington, and Naomi Campbell hammered home the importance of voting early in the revealing clip, where they all appear to be without clothes.
The PSA was put together by an organisation called RepresentUs, and their whole purpose seems to be spreading awareness about voting from home this election cycle that has been hotly debated, and incorrectly described as corrupt by the Trump administration.
Releasing the video from the anti-corruption nonprofit, RepresentUs on Wednesday, Mark Ruffalo said, “I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking, Ruffalo, put your clothes on.”
“Immediately when I heard the term naked ballots, and being a woman in the male-dominated environment of politics, where they are always trying to control our bodies, I thought, ‘Why not take some control back? And also get the voters’ attention,” Bethany Hallam, a Democratic councilwoman at large for Allegheny County, told the Guardian.
