Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India began regional launches of its entry-level commuter bike, the Shine 100, in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan on Friday at a special introductory price of Rs 62,900.
At the Delhi showroom, the 100cc commuter motorcycle costs Rs 64,900. The bicycle comes with an attractive 10-year warranty.
The Shine 100 comes with a seven-year extended warranty from Honda. The standard warranty on the cycle is three years, which can now be extended to ten.
Hero MotoCorp, Honda’s chief competitor, offers a 5-year standard warranty that can be extended to 7 years.
The Shine 100 is propelled by a 98.98cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 7.28 horsepower and 8.05 Newton-meters of torque. The engine is coupled to a four-speed transmission.
The front suspension is a conventional telescopic fork, and the rear suspension is dual shock absorbers. The front and rear drum brakes measure 130 mm and 110 mm in diameter, respectively.
