This digital financial services platform said on Friday that more than 50 lakh bookings have come within a year of launching the LPG booking facility. With this, Paytm has now become the largest platform in the country for booking LPG cylinders.

Last year, Paytm launched the ‘Book a Cylinder’ feature. For this, the company first partnered with HP Gas and then Indian Oil with Indane. In May this year, a tie-up with Bharat Gas has also been announced. Due to the gas booking facility in an extremely easy and convenient way through Paytm, a large number of people are giving importance to this platform.

How to book LPG cylinders through Paytm?

To book LPG gas cylinders through the Paytm app, the customer have to go to the ‘Book a Cylinder’ tab. In this tab, they have to provide their gas provider, LPG ID / Mobile Number / Consumer Number. After this, they also have to pay. The nearest agency then delivers the gas cylinder to the customer’s home.

Paytm vice-president Narendra Yadav said, ‘LPG cylinder is one of the largest utility category in the country. People from all socio-economic classes and geographical areas attend it. It comes in the category of high priority for us. It is also a major driver for the move towards digitization of essential services. We are working towards crossing the number of 1 crore bookings at the end of the current financial year.

Utility bill payment is a major part of strict action Paytm, where the company has emerged as a market leader in many categories. This includes utility bills like electricity, piped gas, water etc. Now the company is focusing on increasing its number of services across the country.
