Setting up Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) on your Windows 10 PC can be a pain, especially if you’re not familiar with the process. In this article, we’ll show you how to change the RDP port on your Windows 10 machine so that you can connect to it easily from other devices.

What are the RDP Ports?

The Remote Desktop Services (RDS) feature in Windows allows users to access their computers remotely. This is useful for work purposes, such as when you are travelling and need to use your computer at a friend’s house.

There are several different RDP ports that you can use to connect to your computer. The most common RDP port is the default port of 3401. However, you can also use ports 3456 or 5985 if you need more privacy.

If you want to change the RDP port on your computer, there are a few steps that you need to take. First, you will need to find out which port is currently being used. To do this, you can use the netstat command. Once you know the port number, you can open the registry editor and change the port number using the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\rds\Parameters\RdpSessionPort

Remember to restart your computer after making these changes!
