JEE Mains 2020 admit card: National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2020 admit card release date within a couple of days. Students can expect the release date of downloading of admit card by August 17 on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.

The JEE Mains 2020 exam is slated to be held from September 1 to 6. Yet, no official date has been announced.

According to the official notice, the dates of downloading of Sept. Exam hall tickets indicating roll number and center of the examination will be displayed 15 days before the commencement of exam on the official website of NTA and JEE Main.

Candidates are required to download the JEE mains admit card 2020 from the official website by using their JEE Main login details such as their application number and date of birth or password and security pin.

The JEE Main admit card is an important document that the candidates must bring to the exam centre. Details such as name, roll number, state of eligibility, JEE Main exam centre address, etc. are mentioned on the JEE Main admit card 2020.

Steps to download JEE Main 2020 Admit Card?

JEE Main admit card 2020 will be available on the official website. By following these steps and instructions, you can easily download the admit card:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main 2020
  • Click on the JEE Mains admit card login tab
  • Two options to choose from:
    a. Download admit card through application number and password or

b. Download admit card through application number and date of birth

  • Click on the desired option
  • Input your application number, password/date of birth and security code
  • Your admit card will be displayed
  • Download, save and take a print out of it for further use

In case of any discrepancy in the details in JEE Mains 2020 admit card and confirmation page, candidates are required to immediately mail to [email protected]

Along with JEE Main admit card, students must also carry the following to the exam centre:

Compulsory documents: One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the online JEE Main application form) has to be pasted on the specific space in the attendance sheet at Centre during JEE Main examination and PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority if claiming the relaxation under PwD category

Anyone of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired) –

  • PAN card
  • Driving license
  • Voter ID
  • Passport
  • Aadhaar Card (with the photograph)
  • Aadhaar enrolment number/Ration card

JEE Main 2020: Exam Day Instructions

  • A lot of time and precautions will be taken due to coronavirus pandemic by the conducting authorities which will lead to more time being consumed in security checks and sanitization. So, the candidates need to come at least an hour early to the centre.
  • As per the NTA Director, Vineet Joshi, slots will be allotted to the candidates to arrive at the centres. Candidates will follow these allotted slots and they should arrive only at their assigned time to make the entry process smoother.
  • The candidates will be required to show their JEE Main 2020 admit card along with identity proof to be entertained in the centre. No other items will be allowed inside.
  • Bags will not be allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates must maintain social distancing and immediately take their designated seats once they enter the exam hall.
  • For Paper 2 exam, the candidates are allowed to take their geometry box, colour pencils and crayons. No watercolour will be allowed.
  • A blank paper and pen/pencil will be given to the candidates for rough work. The paper has to be returned to the invigilators after the completion of the exam. The name and roll number of the candidate must be written on the top of the rough paper.
  • Amid attendance, candidates should ensure that their signature and photos are properly attached. The thumb impression must not be smudged.

Q. When will JEE Main admit card for the coming session be released?

A. As per NTA’s notice, JEE Mains admit card will be released 15 days prior to the conduct of the exam. As the exam is scheduled for September 1-6, 2020, the admit card will be available around August 15, 2020.

A. No, you can only download JEE Main Admit Card from the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in
