If you’re anything like me, you love using Google Assistant to do everything from setting alarms to controlling smart home devices. However, sometimes it can be a bit too much – especially if you don’t want Google to hear every single command that comes out of your mouth. Luckily, there’s an easy way to turn off Google Assistant completely!

How to turn off Google Assistant

Google Assistant is a handy addition to many devices, but some users may want to turn it off for privacy reasons. Here are instructions on how to do just that:

To turn off Google Assistant on an Android device:

1. Open the Settings app on your phone.

2. Tap on “Apps” in the left-hand navigation bar.

3. Scroll down and tap on “Google.”

4. Tap on “Assistant.”

5. Under “Settings,” uncheck the box next to “Enable Google Assistant.”

6. Tap on “Ok” to save the changes.

To turn off Google Assistant on a computer:

1. Open the Google Chrome browser and click on the three lines in the top right corner of the browser window (or press Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows) or Cmd+Opt+F (Mac)).

2. Click on “More tools” in the dropdown menu that appears.

3. Under “Privacy and security,” click on ” assistants.” Click on the button next to “Enable assistant for this website.”

4. Uncheck the box next to “Google Assistant.”

5. Click on “Ok” to save

How to disable Google Home

If you don’t want to use Google Assistant on your phone and want to keep the feature off of your Google Home, there are a few steps you can take.

First, open the Google Home app on your phone. If you’re using a Android phone, go to the Home screen and tap the three lines in the top left corner of the screen (the gear icon). If you’re using an iPhone, go to the App Store and search for “Google Home.”

Next, open Settings. Under “General,” tap “Voice & Audio.” Next, tap “Assistant.” Under “Assistant settings,” turn off “Use voice input.”

Finally, open the Google Home app on your computer. If you’re using a Windows PC, click the three lines in the top left corner of the screen (the gear icon). If you’re using an Mac or a Chromebook, click the three lines in the top right corner of the screen (the person icon).

Next, open Settings. Under “General,” tap “Voice & Audio.” Next, tap “Assistant.” Under “Assistant settings,” turn off “Use voice input.”

How to disable Google Search

If you’re not happy with all of the information that Google Search provides, you can disable it completely. To do so, open the Google app on your device and go to Settings. Under “Search & Now,” toggle the switch to Off.

How to disable YouTube

If you’re not a fan of Google’s voice assistant, there are a few ways to disable it. The easiest way is to open the Google app on your phone and go to Settings > General > Voice & Audio. Under “Active voice assistants,” you can toggle off “Google Assistant.” If that’s not an option, you can also go to https://www.youtube.com/desktop/settings and disable “Google Assistant” under the “YouTube Preferences” heading.
