ICAR NET 2019: January 8 exam rescheduled to this date; check here!

According to the schedule, the exams scheduled for January 9 and 10 will be conducted on the same day.

ICAR NET 2019 exam slated to be held on January 8, 2020 has been delayed and now, the exam will be held on January 11. The time slot and venue will remain unchanged.

According to the schedule, the exams scheduled for January 9 and 10 will be conducted on the same day.

The notification reads, “Considering the concerns raised by Centre Supervisors, Directors and the Applicants/Students, the Board has reviewed the situation and it has been decided that the ICAR NET 2019 Examination scheduled on 8th January, 2020 will now be held on 11th January, 2020 at the same time and venue.”

Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) on Monday, January 6 had issued a notification regarding the National Eligibility Test (NET) exam schedule.

“Only in case of any unforeseen situation on 8th January, 2020 the exam scheduled for 8th January, 2020 will be held on 11th January, 2020. Examination Venue, Slot and Timing of the exam will remain unchanged,” read the notification.

The trade unions and banks have called for a nationwide strike on January 8. As per ten central trade unions statements, around 25 crore people will participate in a nationwide strike on January 8 to protest against the government’s “anti-people” policies.

About the exam

The exam will be of 150 marks consisting of 150 multiple choice questions to be solved in a two-hour duration therefore, this will be a single paper.

Each question will be of one mark however, for each wrong answer 1/3 mark will be deducted. The minimum qualifying marks for unreserved is 75 marks, OBC is 67.5 marks and SC/ST/Divyang is 60.0.

National Eligibility Test (NET) is a qualifying examination for determining eligibility for the position of Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and other Agricultural Universities (AUs).

Qualified candidates will be eligible to apply for the post of Lecturers or Assistant Professors in the SAUs/AUs. For further details, candidates can check the official website of ASRB.
