The preliminary answer key will be released between November 28 to November 30, 2019, by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 exam, as per the updates from CAT in-charge Shubhashish Dey. Earlier, it was expected to release by November 27, 2019. The CAT exam 2019 was held on November 24.
There are a total of 2.44 lakh candidates who applied for the exam that was conducted at 376 exam centers across 156 cities. Only qualified candidates will be eligible to take admission in B-schools including IIMs, Delhi University’s Faculty of Management (FMS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU’s) MBA courses among others.
Once the answer key released, candidates will be given time to go through the mistakes they have made while exam and to objections if any. After these objections will be studied and the final answer key will be released. The results will be based on the final answer key.
According to the official notification, the CAT results 2019 is expected to announced by the second week of January 2020 and CAT 2019 scorecard will be valid till December 31, 2020.
From the previous year, there has been a rise of about 3,000 applicants applied for the exam, as a total of 2,44,169 candidates applied this year against 2.41 lakh last year.
