GujaratWife of an Indian Army Jawan committed suicide on Saturday night as he was afraid of losing her husband. The incident happened in Khambhaliya which is situated in Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gujarat.

Husband Bhupendrasinh Jethwa found his wife hanging from the ceiling fan on Saturday night. The woman Meenakshi Jethwa (22) allegedly committed suicide because she didn’t want to lose her husband.

A national daily’s report states that the husband was posted in Gulmarg area of Jammu & Kashmir. On a visit to his home, the wife was constantly convincing her husband to not to return to his job. The jawan recently escaped an avalanche and the Pulwama attack also made her wife scared. In contrary, the husband was insisting to join back his posting.

Woman sub-inspector, KN Jadeja stated that “the deceased did not want her husband to return to Gulmarg and following the Pulwama attacks, she had grown even more paranoid”.

Reportedly, the family members when returned from a family function, the husband saw his room locked, thinking that she might have slept he didn’t disturb her but next morning when the husband still found the room locked he got suspicious and broke the door only to find his wife hanging from the ceiling.

The couple had married two years ago. The police are yet to record the statements of the family members.
