Delhi government on Friday said that all schools in the state will be remained closed for all students till October 5.

The novel coronavirus has affected more than 51 lakh and claimed over 83,000 lives across the country, so far. The Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said that India is in a much better position than other countries highlighting the country’s recovery rate of 78.64 percent. He also added that India will get its first vaccine by the start of 2021.

India’s coronavirus tally rises to 51,18,254, death toll mounts to 83,198. Around 60% of the active cases are only in the 5 most-affected states. There are 13 states and UTs that even today have less than 5,000 active cases, says Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Indian Council of Medical Research: Total of 6,15,72,343 COVID-19 samples have been taken till now and around 10,06,615 samples were taken yesterday.
