CBSE 10th Result 2021 update: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared CBSE Class 10 Exam 2021 results at 12 pm on today (August 3). Here is the direct link.

The Class 10 students should keep their admit cards handy. The link to check results will be available within an hour at cbse.nic.in, cbse results.nic.in. Students can also check their results at digilocker.gov.in. Results will be also available on the UMANG app, via SMS. CBSE Class 10 students can also make use of IVRS service and call on a landline number to check results.

CBSE has decided to replace the term “FAIL” with the term “Essential Repeat”. Hence, in the result declared no “FAIL” term will be mentioned in the documents issued to the candidates and the result hosted on the website.

In the CBSE 10th result 2020, 41,804 students had managed to score more than 95 per cent of the marks. In 2019, there were over 57,000 students who scored more than 95%. The overall pass percentage last year was at 91.46 %, a marginal increase from 91.10% in 2019. Trivandrum region had recorded the highest pass percentage– 99.28%.

The CBSE class 10 results 2021 are special because this year, the marks have been awarded without conducting all the exams.

Earlier, CBSE informed that the CBSE 12th and 10th Results 2021 will be announced by July 15, 2021. Meanwhile, it is still not confirmed whether the CBSE will release both Class 10 and 12th Result 2021 on the same day. An official confirmation on the same is awaited from the CBSE board authorities.

Immediately after the declaration of the Class 10 result, admission to intermediate courses will begin. Students should therefore keep an eye on the admission related updates.

If a student fails in any of the subject, then the board will conduct the compartment exam. Dates of these exams will be released after the result declaration.

If last year’s trend is to be followed, the students can expect the CBSE results for Class 10 the last week of May or June first week.

CBSE Results, historically, come out towards the end of May. There has been no official confirmation about when the results will be declared but it is expected to be announced in May 2020. This is the third year, since 1992, that the practice of moderation in marking will be curbed to decrease the trend of high cut-offs at universities, especially Delhi University.

How to calculate CGPA of CBSE 10th Result 2021?

  • First of all, Add your grade points of the main five subjects
  • Now, divide it by 5.

For example, if your grade points for the five main subjects are: 9, 8, 9, 9 and 7, then

Step 1: Add the grade points: 9+8+9+9+7 = 42

Step 2: Divide it by 5; 42/5 = 8.4

Thus, your CGPA will be 8.4.

Know how to convert CGPA into the percentage

  • In order to convert your overall CGPA into the percentage, multiply it by 9.5.
  • For example, When CGPA is 8.4, it should be multiplied by 9.5,
  • Thus, 8.4 x 9.5 = 79.80%

When the student will check the result, he/she will get the following details in CBSE 10th Result 2021. The list is given below:

  • Roll Code
  • Student’s Name
  • Father’s Name
  • Mother’s Name
  • Marks obtained in subjects (theory and practical)

CBSE Class 10 Grade Points

Marks and grades will be on the basis of the 9-point grading system. Grades will be awarded in each scholastic subject. Forwarding the grades, the Board will put all the passed students in rank order and will award the grades as follows:

A1 Top 1/8th of the passed candidates
A2 Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
B1 Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
B2 Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
C1 Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
