Pass Criteria: A minimum of 33% marks in the aggregate (Theory plus Practicals where applicable) in the public examination.

Supplementary exam
The NIOS will give unsuccessful candidates a second chance to pass the examination. These candidates can sit for the supplementary (compartmental) test. The date supplementary (compartmental) test or exam will be announced by the NIOS after class 10th and 12th result declaration.
NIOS 12th Re-evaluation of answer scripts: Candidates should note that the answer scripts are re-evaluated in this for which a student needs to submit an online application form within 15 days after the NIOS 12th result is declared. The application fee is Rs 800 per subject (Rs 1000 for ODEs) which can be paid through a demand draft. The revised results are communicated within 60 days from the receipt of the application date.
