NIOS Result 2020 update: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) on Wednesday declared the results of the NIOS class 12 exam on its official website. The link to check the result will be activated by 5 pm. This is in line with the High Court order which stated that the result for both 10th and 12th should be released by August 7.
This year, the class 10 and 12 exams could not be conducted because of the pandemic. For subjects for which no exams were held, students will get marks based on the average of the best three marks obtained in the subjects for which exams have been conducted. A similar format was followed by other boards including CBSE, CISCE.

NIOS SSC 10th results: Last year’s statistics
While students who took the exam in April-May 2019, the NIOS class 10th result comes two days after the class 12th result. The exams are held twice a year in April-May and in October-November. Last year, 34.42% of the total students, who appeared for the NIOS class 10th exam in April, had qualified. The pass percentage in October exam was 39.25%.
In 2018, the NIOS SSC 10th results were released on June 5. The overall pass percentage last year was 63.88 per cent. The pass percentage for boys was 62.83 per cent and for girls was 65.87per cent.

Re-checking/ re-evaluation
The online registration for the re-checking/ re-evaluation process will start after the declaration of results. The duration opening date and last of application will be announced. The NIOS will not allow any extension of the deadline.
Supplementary exam
The NIOS will give unsuccessful candidates a second chance to pass the examination. These candidates can sit for the supplementary (compartmental) test. The date supplementary (compartmental) test or exam will be announced by the NIOS after class 10th and 12th result declaration.
