Indian Navy Recruitment 2020 notification released; 27,000 posts available 

A notification has been released by the Indian Navy for the recruitment of 2,700 posts of Navy Sailor for its August 2020 batch on its official website joinindiannavy.gov.

Indian Navy Recruitment 2020: A notification has been released by the Indian Navy for the recruitment of 2,700 posts of Navy Sailor for its August 2020 batch on its official website joinindiannavy.gov.

Candidates who are interested in becoming Sailors for Artificer Apprentice (AA) and Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) can apply at the official website. There are about 500 job vacancies for Artificer Apprentice and about 2,200 job vacancies for  Senior Secondary Recruits.

Candidates can apply for the online application process for Indian Navy Recruitment from November 8, 2019, to November 18, 2019.

Indian Navy Recruitment eligibility criteria

For Indian Navy SSR: Interested candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with Maths and Physics and at least one of these subjects i.e., chemistry/computer/biology. Hence, with no minimum percentage.

For Indian Navy AA: Interested candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with Maths and Physics with at least 60 per cent in aggregate and at least one of these subjects – Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science from reputed board of school education.

How to apply for Indian Navy Recruitment 2020

  • Step 1: Visit the official website, joinindiannavy.gov.in
  • Step 2: Enter the registered email id and click on ‘Careers & Jobs’ tab
  • Step 3: Click the option ‘Complete Your Application Online Now’
  • Step 4: Fill the application form carefully
  • Step 5: Upload a scanned copy of your photograph
  • Step 6: Re-check the application form
  • Step 7: Save a downloaded copy of the form or take a printout for future reference

Selection process for Indian Navy Sailor posts

For the selection process, one common online exam will be held for both AA and SSR posts. There will be 100 questions to be solved in a one-hour duration.

Indian Navy Recruitment for Sailor posts will be based on the candidates’ performance in computer-based tests (CBT), Pulmonary function tests (PFT) and medical examination.

Indian Navy salary

Indian Navy Sailors will get a stipend of Rs 14,600 per month during the initial training.

After the training, the candidates will be put in level 3 of the defence pay matrix which will offer them a salary between Rs 21,700 and 69,100.

Candidate should be born between August 1, 2000, and July 31, 2003 (both dates inclusive). Only unmarried male candidates can apply.
