India’s history is not restricted to defeat, slavery and poverty: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India’s history is not restricted to defeat, slavery and poverty, but the country has given the world, the message of good governance, non violence and Satyagraha. The PM who was speaking at Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan on the occasion of Basava Jayanti said, “Bharat ka itihaas sirf haar, gulaami, gareebi aur saanp aur nevley ki ladaai ka itihaas nahi hai.”

He also raised the issue of triple talaq and said that if progressive people from the Muslim community will step forward and fight for what is happening with the Muslim daughters, then we will indeed find a way. The PM also requested people not to make it a political issue.

“Muslim samaj se prabudh log aage ayenge, Muslim betiyon ke sath jo guzar rahi hai uske khilaf ladai ladenge; rasta nikalenge. Main musalmaan samaj ke logon se bhi aagrah karunga, iss masle ko rajniti ki daayare mein mat jaane dijye,” the PM said.

The PM has also mentioned about his policy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, saying the government is doing everything possible to provide 24 hours electricity to everyone. The efforts are being made to aid the progress of each one without any discrimination.

“Our land has been blessed with greats who have transformed our society,” he added.
