International Women's Day 2020: Wondering what to do this Women's day? Here is a list of empowering things you can do to stand out

The International Women’s day is around the corner and you must be wondering what to do this year to stand out or make an impact, do not worry ladies and gentleman! we are here to give you the list of all the possible plans you can make this Women’s day.

The UN theme for IWD 2020 is “I am Generation Equality: Realising Women’s Rights.” And the IWD theme is #EachforEqual.

Women’s Political Empowerment Day 2019: History, objectives and significance of the day

You can share quotes and posts with the hashtag of #EachforEqual but there are many other plans you can focus on and here is the list:

1.Join a protest/ March

Women are coming forward and are leading and one of the recent and best example is Shaheen Bagh protest in which the women are leading and has become a symbol but you can definitely join a march for women and women safety that will be held on Women’s Day 2020 in your nearby places or else you can lead a march. Gender violence, reproductive justice, labour rights and equal pay, environmental justice, ending racism and body shaming and many more are causes that we are still fighting. Contact your local organisers and be a part of a march to create a change.

2. Go out with your girl gang

A perfect lunch date or a wine night can be a perfect call for your women’s day and this year go ahead and make plans with your girl gang as it is the most comfortable and the best plan to go ahead with.

3. Give an encouragement call to your colleagues

You can promote gender diversity and a pat of encouragement can give a push to colleagues and do not forget our male colleagues too as they also need the push. You can implement policies to fight gender discrimination and encourage diversity in your business.

4. Spend a day with yourself and read an empowering book

If you wish to not go out and celebrate it then you can choose this option and rea a book about women empowerment.

5. Donate to a cause

There are many charities and NGOs dedicatedly supporting and preserving women’s rights. On the extraordinary event of International Women’s Day, donate to a charity that progresses gender parity, challenging stereotypes and works towards the positive visibility of women.
