What time are IPL matches in UAE and how can we watch it?

IPL 2020: The 13th edition of IPL is all set to start on September 19, 2020. The first match will feature Mumbai Indians against Chennai Super Kings and will take place at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. It should be noted that IPL matches will take place across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.

As we are all aware IPL 2020 was scheduled in March but was postponed to September because of the coronavirus pandemic. The number of cases in India are increasing drastically therefore BCCI decided to switch to the UAE. In 2014, UAE hosted 20 matches of the tournament.

What time are the matches?

The majority of matches in UAE stars at 6 pm in the evening which will be suitable for Indian as it equates to 7.30 pm Indian Standard Time which is the prime time.

Also, 10 matches will start at 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday from October 3, starting with Royal Challengers Bangalore against Rajasthan Royal.

How to watch IPL on TV?

All IPL matches will be shown live on BeIN Sports 13.

Tickets?

As of now, the audience is not allowed at the stadium to ensure coronavirus safety measures. However, the general secretary of the Emirates Cricket Board Mubashshir Usmani said the ground may open for 30 to 50 percent capacity but there no updates yet.

Where are the IPL matches?

Dubai International Stadium will host 24 matches, Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi will stage 20, while the other 12 will be hosted by Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Virat Kohli’s first match?

The Indian captain who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore will be seen playing on September 21 in Dubai against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Is Ben Stokes playing?

Ben Stokes availability for IPL 2020 remains unclear as traveled to Christchurch to be with his family as his father is suffering from brain cancer.
