A total of 292 cricketers, selected from the initial list of 1,114 players are all set to go under the hammer at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, which will be held tomorrow, February 18 in Chennai.
Rs 2 crore is the highest reserve price and two Indian players – Harbhajan Singh and Kedar Jadhav — and eight overseas players — Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy & Mark Wood have chosen to be slotted in the highest bracket in the IPL 2021 auction.

A total of 164 Indian players, 125 overseas players, and 3 players from Associate Nations will be up for grabs in the IPL 2021 Player Auction in Chennai.
Eight IPL franchises — Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad — will spend INR 196.6 Cr on buying players.
Notably, a total of 61 slots are available to be filled across the eight franchises, among them, RCB has the most number of available slots (13). While KXIP has the maximum amount to spend i.e. ₹53.20 crores in the IPL 2021 auction.
