IPL 2023: We are only eight days away from the deadline for all IPL franchises to submit their final retention list on November 15. Mumbai Indians had a poor showing in the IPL 2022, and it began at the auction table, where many cricket pundits claimed MI spent too much money on unwanted players.

When and where will the IPL 2023 auction take place?

According to TOI, the auction for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) will take place on December 16. Bengaluru will host the mini-auction. After three years, the home-away format will return this season. The last time it was played in this format was before the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019. The IPL 2023 season will begin in the last week of March. The salary cap is also likely to be increased by Rs 5 crore, which is good news for franchises.
