Iran says it has broken CIA spy ring, some sentenced to death: Report

Iran has captured 17 spies working for the United States’ Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and according to the Iranian media reports some have been sentenced to death on Monday, July 22.

Intelligence Ministry was quoted by reports saying it had broken up a CIA spying ring and captured 17 suspects.

“The identified spies were employed in sensitive and vital private sector centers in the economic, nuclear, infrastructural, military and cyber areas… where they collected classified information,” a ministry statement read on state television as reported by news agency Reuters.
