Income Tax Department seized Rs 44 crore in cash, Rs 20 crore worth USD and 90 kgs of gold during search conducted on properties of ‘White Lotus’ owned by son of Wellness Guru, Kalki Bhagwan in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chittoor and Kuppam.

Just few days back, Income Tax department raided on Kalki Bhagwan, a self-styled godman, in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, and reportedly uncovered over Rs 30 crore in unaccounted wealth.

Kalki is the founder of Oneness University, a spiritual school.

Searches were conducted in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Varadaiahpalem in entities linked to the self-styled Godman.

The simultaneous raids involving more than 300 I-T Department officials were conducted based on a specific input that the Godman and his son Krishna is said to have made huge undeclared investments in several companies in India and abroad, including in tax havens.
