JAC 12th result 2020: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is likely to announce the Class 12th board exam results this week. Those students who have taken the class 12th exams are advised to visit the official website to check their results.
As per reports, JAC chairman Arvind Prasad Singh said, “We are making all efforts to declare the results of intermediate (class 12) science and commerce exams this week, preparation is almost in final stage.”
More than 2.34 lakh students have taken the intermediate (Class 12th) exams this year, conducted for science, commerce and arts streams students.
The exams for all three streams were held in the month of February. Officials said JAC planned to declare the results by May but it was postponed in view of the lockdown imposed across the country to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
Therefore, originally the exams were commenced from February 10 this year and ended on February 28. JAC officials said 2,34,363 students were supposed to appear in the exams. The class 12th papers begun with vocational papers and concluded with biology, geography and business mathematics paper.
The students were allocated to the 470 exam centres across the state where they wrote the papers under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. The cameras had also been installed to prohibit unfair practices amidst the examination. The CCTV cameras had been set up in each classroom of all centre.
JAC planned to hold the evaluation of papers from March 20 however, it was deferred due to Coronavirus outbreak. Finally, the evaluation work began on May 28.
Last year, over 3.15 lakh students appeared for 12th exams. Around 57% students cleared the science exam, while 70.44% students passed the commerce exam. The pass percentage of Arts stream was 79.97% last year.
JAC announced the results of Class 10th on July 8 in 75.01% students passed, however, according to the records, this year JAC class 10th result is the best results in the past five years.
