London, May 25 (IANS) Winger Jacques Maghoma and left-back Jonathan Grounds will leave Birmingham City once their contracts come to an end in June, the club has announced.

Maghoma, 32, joined Blues under Gary Rowett on a free transfer from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer of 2015. He has played 21 times for Blues this campaign, 12 occasions entering the fray as a substitute, and scored on New Year’s Day against Wigan Athletic.

On the other hand, Grounds came to Blues on a free transfer, from Oldham Athletic, under Lee Clark in the summer of 2014. The 32-year-old is currently Blues longest-serving player.

The club also confirmed that it will not seek to extend Jefferson Montero’s loan from Swansea City. Montero’s loan is due to run out on June 30. The winger is in the last year of his contract at Swansea.

The 30-year-old had joined Blues on a season’s loan from Swansea on transfer deadline day in August.

Also exiting Blues will be goalkeeper David Stockdale, 34, and left-back Cheick Keita, 24. Stockdale became Harry Redknapp’s first signing for Blues in the summer of 2017, from Brighton & Hove Albion.

He made 39 appearances in his debut campaign before falling out of favour under Garry Monk. In 2018/19 he had three Emergency Loan spells: at Southend United, Wycombe Wanderers and Coventry City.

Keita, 24, came to Blues in the 2017 January transfer window, for an undisclosed fee from Italian side Virtus Entella.

He made 10 appearances in the remainder of that season, when Blues survived on the final day.
