Jagadhri is among the 90 constituencies to go for elections for Haryana Legislative Assembly on October 21. Jagadhri falls under the Ambala Lok Sabha constituency and is a part of Ambala district. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kanwar Pal is the current MLA of Jagadhri.

In the 2014 Haryana Vidhan Sabha (Haryana Legislative Assembly) Elections, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kanwar Pal defeated BSP hope Akram Khan by more than 34 thousand votes. Pal received 74203 votes to Khan’s 40047 votes.
