Bidisha Bezbaruah, Assamese actress who has also acted in recently released ‘Jagga Jasoos,’ has allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday at her flat in Gurugram. Reportedly, her husband Nisheet Jha was arrested on the charges of abetting suicide.
As per deceased’s family, her husband was having an extra-marital affair that had caused conflict in the family. This may prompted Bidisha to take such extreme step.
The 30-year-old actress was a famous TV personality. She had performed at many stage shows. She moved from Mumbai to Gurugram recently.
“Bezbaruah was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her rented accommodation which she had taken recently,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Deepak Saharan said. “Her father suspected something foul as she was not picking the phone on Monday evening. He approached the police and gave details of her local address,” Saharan added.
When the police reached, the door were locked from inside. “The victim’s father claimed in his complaint that she had a love marriage but would often have quarrels with her husband,” Saharan said. Her phone, Facebook and social networking site conversations are being examined.
