Jaguar is all set to launch their first electronic car in India tomorrow on March 23rd at 7.30 pm. Jaguar India will be bringing the I-Pace as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and will offer it in three variants: S, SE, and HSE.
The bookings for the SUV began way back in November 2020 and the deliveries are slated to commence soon after the price announcement.
The I-Pace will come equipped with a 90kWh battery pack, which powers the twin electric motors developing 400PS and 696Nm. Power will be transmitted to the four wheels of the all-electric SUV for a 0-100kmph sprint time of 4.8 seconds, right before hitting its top speed of 200kmph.
It gets a WLTP (World harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure) claimed range of 470km and can be charged from 0-80 percent in 45minutes via fast charging. The carmaker has installed fast chargers at its 22 outlets across 19 cities. It has also tied up with Tata Power so customers can make use of the 200-odd Tata Power charging stations across 23 cities. Tata Power will also be responsible for providing a complementary 7.4kWh home charging box for the luxury SUV.
Jaguar I-Pace Interior and Exterior
I-PACE seamlessly integrates technology and abundant space. The interior design is clean and uncluttered, with tactile features and sweeping lines. The nature of the electric powertrain offers additional space, providing more freedom to maximise the comfort provided by I-PACE’s interior.
I-PACE features a floating centre console at the heart of the cabin. This unique, cantilevered design feature gives you an immediate sense of I-PACE’s space the moment you open the door.
The SUV will feature a bold grille with sleek LED headlamps, with optional Matrix function and aggressive-looking side air intakes. The side profile gets a curvy design while the rear end looks much more meaningful thanks to the sleek LED tail lamps and the sloping roofline.
The I-Pace is offered in a choice of 12 exterior shades – Fuji White, Caldera Red, Santorini Black, Yulong White, Indus Silver, Firenze Red, Caesium Blue, Borasco Grey, Eiger Grey, Portofino Blue, Farallon Pearl Black, and Aruba.
