Jaguar first electronic car I-Pace to launch in India tomorrow, runs 470 km in single charge; Know more

The I-Pace will come equipped with a 90kWh battery pack, which powers the twin electric motors developing 400PS and 696Nm. Power will be transmitted to the four wheels of the all-electric SUV for a  0-100kmph sprint time of  4.8 seconds, right before hitting its top speed of 200kmph.

Jaguar is all set to launch their first electronic car in India tomorrow on March 23rd at 7.30 pm. Jaguar India will be bringing the I-Pace as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and will offer it in three variants: S, SE, and HSE.

The bookings for the SUV began way back in November 2020 and the deliveries are slated to commence soon after the price announcement.  

Specifications 

The I-Pace will come equipped with a 90kWh battery pack, which powers the twin electric motors developing 400PS and 696Nm. Power will be transmitted to the four wheels of the all-electric SUV for a  0-100kmph sprint time of  4.8 seconds, right before hitting its top speed of 200kmph. 

It gets a WLTP (World harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure) claimed range of 470km and can be charged from 0-80 percent in 45minutes via fast charging. The carmaker has installed fast chargers at its 22 outlets across 19 cities. It has also tied up with Tata Power so customers can make use of the 200-odd Tata Power charging stations across 23 cities. Tata Power will also be responsible for providing a complementary 7.4kWh home charging box for the luxury SUV.

Jaguar I-Pace Interior and Exterior

The SUV will feature a bold grille with sleek LED headlamps, with optional Matrix function and aggressive-looking side air intakes. The side profile gets a curvy design while the rear end looks much more meaningful thanks to the sleek LED tail lamps and the sloping roofline.

The I-Pace is offered in a choice of 12 exterior shades – Fuji White, Caldera Red, Santorini Black, Yulong White, Indus Silver, Firenze Red, Caesium Blue, Borasco Grey, Eiger Grey, Portofino Blue, Farallon Pearl Black, and Aruba. 

Jaguar I-Pace: Price

The I-Pace will rival Mercedes-Benz EQC and the upcoming Audi e-Tron in this segment. So, one can expect a price of upto Rs 1 Crore(ex-showroom) for this car.
